The ladder comes out.
The season stops being fun.
The lights you untangled last year. The staples that pull the trim. The strand that worked in the garage but won’t light on the roof. A cold afternoon in November becoming a weekend-long project. And then January, when everything has to come down and get sorted and stored somewhere.
Most people who hire us once don’t go back. Not because it’s expensive — but because having it handled, professionally, every single year is one of those things you wonder why you waited on.
What professional means
Custom fit.
No extra lights hanging.
No visible cords. Ever.
Every installation is measured and custom cut to your home. Lights are trimmed to exact lengths with plug ends installed on every run. Our process is over 90% staple-free — no damage to trim, no holes left behind in spring.
We use professional lift equipment throughout the season. That means we can safely install on steep-pitch roofs, two-story homes, and commercial properties that ladder-only companies won’t touch — or will do poorly. The result is cleaner rooflines, more precise placement, and a finished look that reads differently from the street.
Locally owned by Zach Everett in Lima, Ohio. We’ve served the same Northwest Ohio communities for years. A lot of our clients are neighbors — and that matters for how we do the work.
How it works
You don’t touch a thing.
From the first conversation to the last label in January, it’s handled. Here’s what every season looks like.
Design
We listen to what you want and walk the property. Warm white, colored, trees, stake lights, arches — we lay out options and build a custom design around your home and budget. No templates.
Installation
We begin in October and fill quickly. Lights are custom cut, professionally hung, and timer-set. We work around your schedule. When we leave, everything is on and looks exactly right.
Maintenance
All lights and materials are guaranteed. If anything goes out — weather, wind, anything — we come back and fix it. Your display stays complete and working through the end of the season.
Takedown and storage
We return in January. Everything comes down, is labeled, inspected, and stored until next year. You don’t deal with a single storage bin. Just confirm the date and we handle the rest.
No commitment · We fill up fast — book early for the best dates
What’s included
Every color.
Every style.
Every type of property.
Warm white is our most popular option — clean, classic, and works on every home. But we offer the full range. Whatever you’ve pictured, we can build it.
You own the lights after year one. That’s not how everyone does it.
Some Christmas lighting companies operate on a lease model — you pay every year for lights you never own, and the cost doesn’t go down. We don’t do that. After your first season, the lighting system is yours. We store it, maintain it, and reinstall it each year at a meaningfully lower price.

What professional Christmas lighting costs
First-year pricing includes design, all materials, installation, in-season maintenance, January takedown, and storage.
Average installation: $1,700
Every quote is custom — we price based on your property after we’ve seen it, not from a package sheet. Most clients are surprised by how reasonable the first-year number is.
Rooflines plus trees, stake lights, window and arch outlines, and decorative features. Clients who want a complete property display rather than just a roofline.
Full-property installations for larger homes with significant tree wrapping, multi-zone displays, and architectural detailing across the entire exterior.
We also serve restaurants, retail locations, downtown districts, and municipal properties. Commercial installs range from $10,000 to $50,000+ depending on scope. Reach out directly to discuss your project.
No commitment to get a quote. We’ll come to your property, walk it with you, and build a custom proposal. In our experience, most clients find the number comes in better than they expected.
What clients say
The holidays look different now.
90% come back. Most say they should have done it sooner.
“The lights exceeded my expectations. This is a premium service — the quality of the product, installation, and takedown process fully justified it. I look forward to expanding my lighting next year.”
“Several-year client here. This team is amazing. Well-mannered, clean, fast, efficient. In the rare instance there’s a problem, service is over the top. Quick response, no excuses. A true gem.”
“Light Up Lima did a great job with my outside Christmas lighting. I love how they made suggestions on which lights and where. The cost was very reasonable, and it looks beautiful!”
“Nice to see a business that does exactly what it says it will do, when it says it will do it, and works around your schedule. A job very well done and completed on time.”
How much does professional Christmas light installation cost in Northwest Ohio?
Most residential installations in the Lima and Findlay area fall between $1,500 and $2,300 for a standard roofline display, with an average around $1,700. Full displays with trees, stake lights, and architectural features run $2,500 to $10,000+. Commercial installations up to $50,000. Year two pricing drops by approximately 25% because you already own the lights and we know your property.
Who owns the Christmas lights?
You do, after the first season. We’re not a lease model. The lights are yours once year one is complete, which is why year two pricing is meaningfully lower — no materials cost, and we know your home. If you ever stop using our service, we arrange to get your lights back to you.
Do you install on steep or high rooflines?
Yes. We operate professional lift equipment throughout the entire installation season. We install on steep-pitch roofs, two-story homes, and commercial buildings daily. This isn’t something we do occasionally — it’s standard for us. Lift installation is also safer for your property and produces cleaner, more precise results than ladder-only work.
When do you start installing and when should I book?
We begin installations in October. Prime dates — the weeks before Thanksgiving and early December — fill up quickly. If you want to be on the schedule before you have to think about it, the earlier you reach out the better. Returning clients are typically scheduled first, which is one more reason most people come back.
What happens if lights go out or something comes loose mid-season?
We come back. All lights and materials we provide are guaranteed for the season. Weather, wind, kids, dogs — it doesn’t matter. If something isn’t right, we return promptly and fix it. In-season maintenance is part of every installation, not an upsell.
What styles and colors do you offer?
Warm white is our most popular, but we offer the full range — multi-color, single-color accents, blue, candy cane, and custom combinations. We also install stake lights, window and arch outlines, evergreen and tree wrapping with C7 and mini lights, wire frame displays, wreaths, garland, and large artificial trees for commercial properties. If you’ve pictured something, we can build it.
Ready when you are
This is the last year
you do it yourself.
We design, install, maintain, take down, and store everything. You don’t touch a ladder, untangle a single strand, or deal with January. We fill our schedule early each season — the best time to get on it is now.
